The 7 best Perplexity rank trackers for 2026, ranked. GEOly leads with citation tracking and multi-engine share of voice from $49/mo.

Perplexity answers with numbered sources inline, so the question that matters is not just "does it mention my brand" but "which URLs does it cite, and how often is one of them mine." A Perplexity rank tracker measures your share of those citations across the prompts your buyers ask. Traditional rank trackers see none of it, because there is no blue-link SERP and the sources are woven into the prose.
This is the list I'd hand a marketer who wants to start measuring Perplexity visibility this quarter. It is ranked, opinionated, and every price is current as of 2026.
Key Takeaways
Perplexity is citation-first: it shows a numbered source list with every answer, so tracking which URLs it cites and your share of those citations matters more here than on any other engine.
Share of voice against competitors beats a single ranking number, because Perplexity answers in prose and rotates its sources.
Perplexity leans heavily on Reddit threads, documentation and authoritative pages, so knowing which of those it trusts tells you exactly what content to earn.
GEOly leads this list on citation tracking, engine coverage and price, starting from $49/mo.
Cheap single-engine monitors are fine for a first audit, but you will outgrow them the moment you need agency reporting or a fix workflow.
What to look for in a Perplexity rank tracker
Citation and source monitoring: which URLs Perplexity cites for each prompt, and whether one of them is yours, is the core Perplexity metric.
Share of voice: your citation and mention rate versus named competitors on the same prompts, not just a yes/no.
Prompt-level tracking: you define the buying questions, the tool runs them on a schedule and logs where you appear.
Multi-engine coverage: Perplexity is the start, but budgets get approved for platforms that also track ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.
A path from insight to action: an audit that ends in a PDF is worth less than one that tells you the next page or Reddit answer to earn.
Honest pricing: watch for annual-only billing and per-domain fees that triple the sticker price.
The 7 best Perplexity rank trackers in 2026
1. GEOly AI
GEOly is a GEO/AEO platform that measures brand visibility across every major answer engine and then helps you close the gaps it finds. For Perplexity specifically, its citation and source monitoring is the reason it leads this list: it logs the exact URLs Perplexity cites on each tracked prompt, shows your share of those citations over time, and flags when a competitor's source is winning a query you should own. Because Perplexity pulls so heavily from Reddit, docs and authoritative pages, that source-level view tells you precisely what to earn next.
The same dashboard also covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Overviews, Claude, Copilot, Grok and DeepSeek, so you track your AI Global Visibility Rate and Share of Voice as one number instead of buying a drawer full of single-engine tools. The last mile is what pushes it to the top: a competitive Topic Share-of-Model view, Query Fan-out analysis to see the sub-questions Perplexity expands into, and a GEO agent that recommends the fixes most likely to move a citation. It starts from $49/mo, which undercuts most of the field.

Best for: brands and agencies that want Perplexity citation tracking plus a real plan to improve, without paying enterprise rates. See how it stacks up against named competitors on the GEOly alternatives hub, or start free on GEOly.
2. Otterly.ai
Otterly.ai is a lightweight, affordable monitor that got early traction tracking brand mentions and link citations in Perplexity and ChatGPT. Its link-citation analysis is genuinely useful for a Perplexity-first audit, and the Lite plan at $29/mo is one of the cheapest ways to start, though depth and multi-engine breadth trail the leaders as you scale. Standard runs $189/mo. See the Otterly.ai alternative breakdown.
Best for: solo marketers and small teams running a first, budget Perplexity audit.
3. Peec AI
Peec AI is a clean, fast-moving European entrant focused on prompt tracking, share of voice and citation discovery across Perplexity and the other main engines. The source and citation discovery is a good fit for Perplexity's citation-first format, the interface is friendly, and setup is quick. It tiers from Starter up through Enterprise, though paid prices are not published. See the Peec AI alternative breakdown.
Best for: mid-market marketers who want straightforward prompt and citation tracking without a steep ramp.
4. Profound
Profound is one of the best-known enterprise answer-engine platforms, with strong Perplexity and ChatGPT coverage and a polished analytics layer that large brands like. It is built for teams that have budget and want depth, with SSO, SOC2 and agent analytics on higher tiers. Pricing starts at $99/mo billed yearly and climbs to $399/mo for Growth, so it lands as a capable but pricier pick. Read the full GEOly vs Profound comparison.
Best for: enterprise teams that want a mature analytics suite and have the budget to match.
5. Scrunch AI
Scrunch AI targets larger organizations with an AI Experience Platform angle, pairing prompt management and citation tracking with persona modeling and agent-traffic attribution. It is thorough, and priced for it: Starter runs $250/mo billed annually ($300 monthly) and Growth is $417/mo, with a 7-day trial for evaluation. If you need enterprise observability more than a nimble tracker, it belongs on the shortlist. See the Scrunch alternative breakdown.

Best for: enterprise brand and observability teams tracking AI representation at scale.
6. Rankscale
Rankscale is an AI visibility analytics tool with solid prompt and citation tracking across a very broad model list, from Perplexity and ChatGPT to Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek and Grok. It sits in the mid-to-upper price band with Pro at $99/mo, Growth at $385/mo and Enterprise at $780/mo, and adds agency features like white-label and a REST API higher up. It is a reasonable pick for teams that want detailed data. See the Rankscale alternative breakdown.
Best for: data-hungry teams comparing GEO analytics suites across many models.
7. SE Ranking
SE Ranking bundles an AI results tracker with AI competitor and source analysis, classic rank tracking, keyword research, backlinks and site audit in one account. For teams that want Perplexity source analysis sitting next to their existing SEO work, it is a convenient consolidation, with MCP and API access. Pricing runs Core $129/mo and Growth $279/mo, cheaper billed annually. See the SE Ranking alternative breakdown.
Best for: agencies that want AI source tracking and rank tracking in a single account.
How to choose
Start from how Perplexity actually works: it cites sources inline, so insist on citation and source monitoring first, then share of voice against your named competitors, not just a mention count. If Perplexity is your priority today but ChatGPT and Gemini are on next quarter's roadmap, buy the multi-engine platform now so you are not migrating data in three months. For most teams that means shortlisting GEOly first for citation tracking, coverage and price, then pressure-testing it against Profound or Peec AI on the prompts that matter to your revenue.
FAQ
Can you actually track rankings in Perplexity? Not in the Google sense of position 1 to 10. Perplexity answers in prose with a numbered source list, so the real metric is how often you are cited or mentioned across a set of tracked prompts, and your share of those citations versus competitors. That is what a Perplexity rank tracker measures.
Why do citations matter more in Perplexity than elsewhere? Because Perplexity puts a numbered source list on screen with every answer. Being one of those cited sources is the visibility, so tracking which URLs it pulls, and whether one is yours, is the whole game.
What sources does Perplexity favor? It leans heavily on Reddit threads, product and technical documentation, and authoritative editorial pages. A good tracker shows you which of those it trusts for your prompts so you know where to earn a mention.
What is the cheapest way to start? A lightweight monitor like Otterly.ai starts at $29/mo, but GEOly gives you multi-engine coverage, citation tracking and a fix workflow from $49/mo, which is usually the better value once you are past a one-off audit.
How often should prompts run? Weekly is enough for most brands to catch movement; high-velocity categories benefit from daily runs, which the stronger platforms support.
