ChatGPT visibility tracker
Ask ChatGPT the questions your buyers ask, on a schedule, and see which brands it names, in what order, and which pages it cites as evidence.
ChatGPT is included on every GEOly plan, starting with Basic at $49/month (3-day free trial).
Why measure ChatGPT on its own
ChatGPT answers product and brand questions in prose: there is no results page to rank on, only whether you are named, how early, and how you are described. One answer is an anecdote. A tracked prompt set across markets is a measurement.
When ChatGPT searches the web it shows its sources. Tracking which domains it cites tells you which publishers, retailers and review sites shape the answer in your category, and whether your own pages are among them.
ChatGPT also renders shopping product cards for commerce queries, so the same prompts show whose products appear on the AI shelf (Share of Card), not only whose brand is mentioned.
What you see for every tracked prompt
Metric guide: definitions, formulas and how to read them- AI Generative Visibility RateAIGVR
- GEOly's composite 0–100 score for how visible a brand is inside AI answers. It combines whether the brand is named, where it appears in the answer, whether its own domain is cited, and the sentiment of the surrounding language — across every tracked prompt, engine and market.
- Share of ModelSoM
- The share of all brand mentions in a category's AI answers that belong to your brand. It places visibility in a competitive context instead of counting appearances in isolation.
- Citation Rate
- The share of tracked AI answers that cite the brand's own domain as a source. Being retrieved is not the same as being cited: an engine can read your page and still choose not to rely on it.
- Share of Card
- The share of AI shopping product cards in a category that are occupied by your products. This is the shelf metric of agentic commerce: AI assistants assemble a product shelf before the click, and the card decides which store the buy-now link points at.
- AI DA
- A source-side authority score for a domain — the AI-era counterpart to domain authority. It ranks how much a given publisher, retailer, forum or reference site actually feeds AI answers in a category, so outreach can be prioritized by influence on answers rather than by traditional backlink value.
- Query Fanout
- The background searches an AI engine runs while assembling one answer. Reading them shows what the engine was actually looking for — including site-restricted lookups against brand domains to verify claims like warranty, materials or certifications.
How ChatGPT picks what to cite
- Web citations pull from high-authority, well-structured pages that match intent.
- Third-party mentions, reviews and comparisons shape brand recommendations.
- Clear product data and consistent naming help the model represent you correctly.
How tracking works
- 01
Choose the questions
Add the prompts your buyers ask, by country and language. Competitors are detected from the answers, not only from a list you maintain.
- 02
GEOly asks on a schedule
Each prompt runs in the engine and the full answer is stored: brands named, their order, sentiment, cited sources and product cards.
- 03
Act on the gaps
See which prompts you lose, which sources the engine trusts in your category, and which facts it got wrong, then track the change.
FAQ
Can I see whether ChatGPT recommends my brand?
Yes. GEOly runs your tracked prompts in ChatGPT and records whether your brand is named, its position among the brands in the answer, the sentiment of the wording, and which sources were cited. You can open every raw answer behind the numbers.
Is ChatGPT tracking different from SEO rank tracking?
Yes. A rank tracker reports the position of a URL on a results page. In ChatGPT there is no list of links, so GEOly measures presence and share inside the answer (mention rate, position, Share of Model) and, separately, whether your domain is cited as a source (Citation Rate).
Which GEOly plans include ChatGPT?
